Autobiography |
|
I was born in Belgium 28
years ago. As a kid, I always dreamed about traveling. Maybe
because some of my ancestral are Breton corsairs. During my
childhood and thanks to my parents or some school trips, I
discovered France, Italy and Spain. When I grew up, I walked many
times through the main European cities: Paris, London, Roma,
Vienna… but also Stockholm or Warsaw. In 1992, I spent 2 months in
Eastern Canada (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec, …) Later, in
1999, after some other trips and 2 years after meeting Fari, I had
my first journey to Iran: immediately love at first sight! I went
back in May 2000, thanks to Fari who asked me to be part of the
“Pierre Loti” project, and also in September, invited by a mutual
Iranian friend for his wedding ceremony. Telling you now that I
like Iran, the country, the people is an euphemism; I love the
subtly combination of the different items this great country has
to offer and this impression that I was living something
different.
I’m graduated in communication from College ISIS (Liège, Belgium),
journalism section. At the end of my studies, I worked at La Meuse,
a national newspaper. Even if writing is one of my original
passions, my professional life has moved apart from it because I
work now in the computer domain, at the national lottery of
Belgium as IT operator.
A shared friend has introduced me to Fari. We used to live in the
same town (Liège) and we became very good friends. We shared an
unforgettable part of life. Back home, he invited me to discover
his country. Today, I miss him a lot but we keep in touch through
this great media, Internet, which, thanks to it, we share with you
today this great journey, "Back to Esfahan", 100 years
after the famous French writer Pierre Loti. |
